A leading construction contractor is looking to recruit an experienced Project Manager to join its growing Energy division, delivering large-scale civil, structural and architectural (CSA) packages on complex energy infrastructure projects.

This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of projects from pre-construction through to completion, leading multidisciplinary teams while ensuring safe, high-quality delivery on time and within budget.

Reporting to the Contracts Manager and senior leadership team, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of energy projects, acting as the main point of contact for clients while managing programme, cost, quality and safety performance.

Key responsibilities include

  • Managing projects from mobilisation through to final handover.
  • Leading and coordinating site teams, subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Managing project programmes, resources and budgets to ensure successful delivery.
  • Procuring materials, plant and subcontract packages in line with project requirements.
  • Monitoring project progress and producing regular reports for internal and client stakeholders.
  • Identifying project risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
  • Managing design coordination and supporting programme delivery.
  • Reviewing and approving RAMS while ensuring robust safe systems of work are implemented.
  • Carrying out regular site inspections to maintain the highest health, safety and quality standards.
  • Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with project specifications, contractual requirements and industry standards.
  • Overseeing project close-out, commissioning support and handover documentation.

To be successful in this role, you will have

  • A minimum of 8 years' experience delivering CSA packages on major construction projects.
  • Previous experience delivering energy, substation or critical infrastructure projects.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent commercial awareness with the ability to manage budgets and project performance.
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary teams, subcontractors and client relationships.
  • A thorough understanding of construction planning, design coordination and project controls.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Qualifications: SMSTS, CSCS Card, NVQ Level 7, Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification in Construction Management or a related discipline.
  • Experience using project planning software such as ASTA is advantageous.
