Site Engineer – Grimsby Freelance | Immediate Start | Competitive Day Rate

We are working with a well-established main contractor that has built an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality industrial, logistics and commercial projects across the UK.

Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, they are looking to appoint an experienced Site Engineer for a major project in Grimsby.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking contractor on a long-term project with the potential for future work upon completion.

The Role

As Site Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the project is delivered safely, on programme and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Setting out for all aspects of the project.
  • Managing QA and quality inspections.
  • Producing and maintaining accurate site records.
  • Reviewing drawings and resolving technical queries.
  • Coordinating subcontractors and ensuring work is completed to specification.
  • Supporting the Site and Project Managers with day-to-day engineering duties.
  • Ensuring all work complies with health and safety regulations.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Site Engineer with a main contractor.
  • Experience on industrial, logistics, commercial or large-scale construction projects.
  • Competent using Leica or Trimble surveying equipment.
  • Strong understanding of QA procedures and site documentation.
  • CSCS Card essential.
  • SMSTS or SSSTS (desirable).
  • Full UK driving licence.
