Key Responsibilities
- Review tender documentation, drawings, specifications, and contract requirements.
- Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for civil engineering projects.
- Undertake quantity take-offs and detailed pricing exercises.
- Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Identify project risks, opportunities, and value engineering solutions.
- Liaise with operational, commercial, and procurement teams during the tender process.
- Prepare tender submissions and supporting documentation within agreed deadlines.
- Assist in post-tender negotiations and project handovers.
- Maintain and develop estimating databases and cost information.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Estimator within the civil engineering, infrastructure, groundworks, or utilities sectors.
- Strong understanding of tendering and estimating processes.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
