An international engineering contractor that is a market leader in the delivery of mission critical infrastructure across Europe, is actively seeking a Mechanical Estimator to join their Pre-construction Team in Glasgow and work within their data centre division. The ideal candidate will boast a minimum of three years in an Estimating or Commercial Management role, sector experience is desirable however strong M&E background is crucial. This is an exciting role for an Estimator that is ready to take the next step in their career and join a rapidly expanding contractor with excellent room for growth. You will be given the support and guidance to take the company and allowed to progress your career.
Responsibilities:
- First point of contact for all estimating enquiries
- Grow, develop, train current and new team members
- Direct and assist estimating team in their day-to-day activities
- Lead regular internal and client meetings
- Develop strong relationship with current and prospective client list
- Develop current estimation processes and enhance day-to-day processes
Requirements:
- 3+ years in an Estimating or Commercial role
- Mechanical sector experience essential
- Data Centre experience desirable but not a necessity
- Proficient in IT packages and other relevant software
- Relevant 3rd level qualifications
- Forward thinking mindset, career ambitious and possess strong people management ability
