Currently undertaking an exciting state of the art data centre development in Zurich, they are seeking an experienced Electrical Lead to join the team on a permanent, full-time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for an electrical professional with a strong background in major infrastructure or data centre projects to step into a key leadership role. As the Electrical Lead, you will take ownership of all electrical works on the project, providing technical leadership and strategic oversight from installation through commissioning and handover. You will play a critical role in ensuring all electrical systems are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Act as the Electrical Lead for the project, providing technical and operational leadership across all electrical activities.
- Oversee and coordinate electrical installation, testing, commissioning, and final handover of data centre systems.
- Ensure all electrical works comply with project specifications, local regulations, and safety standards.
- Lead and manage electrical subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring performance, quality, and timely delivery.
- Coordinate closely with civil, mechanical, and other disciplines to ensure seamless project execution.
- Review electrical designs, technical submissions, and shop drawings, identifying value engineering and cost-effective solutions.
- Monitor progress, budgets, and resource allocation, reporting regularly to senior management and stakeholders.
- Conduct site inspections and audits to maintain high standards of quality, safety, and workmanship.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with electrical construction activities.
- Mentor and support the electrical team, fostering a culture of collaboration, safety, and high performance.
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- 5+ years’ experience in a senior electrical role on large-scale projects, ideally data centres, commercial, or industrial developments.
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, including LV/MV, UPS, generators, lighting, and power distribution.
- Proven experience managing multiple subcontractors and vendors.
- Proficient in project management tools and MS Office.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
