Job Description
We are recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to join the delivery team on Parkside Living, a landmark 130-home Build-to-Rent residential development at Edgeware.
The development comprises three interconnected residential buildings ranging from four to six storeys, delivering a mix of one, two and three-bedroom apartments.
The scheme will also include high-quality resident amenity spaces, landscaping, enhanced public realm and associated infrastructure.
With 50% affordable housing and buildings designed to Passivhaus façade performance standards, this is an exciting opportunity to work on a high-quality residential development focused on sustainability, quality and long-term community value.
The Role
Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing a section of works, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day site operations and coordinate subcontractors.
- Ensure works are delivered in line with programme, specifications and quality standards.
- Maintain the highest standards of health, safety and environmental compliance.
- Chair daily briefings and toolbox talks.
- Coordinate labour, plant and materials to maintain programme.
- Monitor progress and resolve on-site issues efficiently.
- Carry out quality inspections, snagging and handovers.
- Work closely with the design, commercial and logistics teams.
- Maintain site records, RAMS, permits and reporting documentation.
- Liaise with the client, consultants and wider project team throughout delivery.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Site Manager delivering residential developments for a main contractor.
- Experience on RC frame apartment schemes is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of health & safety, quality assurance and programme management.
- Excellent subcontractor management and communication skills.
- SMSTS, CSCS Black or Gold Card and First Aid at Work.
- A proactive approach with the ability to lead teams and drive programme.
