A great opportunity for a Design Engineer to join a contractor-led team delivering a large-scale data centre project in Slough.
This role is site/project focused and will suit someone with strong experience coordinating and reviewing design information in a fast-paced construction environment.
You will work closely with the project and construction teams to manage and review design information, ensuring buildability, coordination, and compliance across multiple work packages.
Key responsibilities include:
- Review and coordination of structural steel drawings
- Review of architectural white wall systems
- Coordination and review of builder’s works information
- Liaison with subcontractors, consultants, and site teams
- Identifying and resolving design clashes and constructability issues
- Ensuring design deliverables align with programme and site requirements
- Supporting technical queries during construction
Requirements:
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Construction, or a related discipline
- Experience working on data centre, commercial, or large-scale industrial projects
- Strong understanding of contractor-side design coordination
- Ability to review and interrogate drawings rather than produce full design from scratch
- Familiarity with steelwork, architectural packages, and builder’s works
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
