Main Areas of Responsibility:

  • Conduct security gatehouse duties, controlling traffic and personnel entering and leaving site.
  • Conduct physical security patrols by foot.
  • Carry out crime prevention activities such as routine vehicle searches.
  • Perform road safety duties.
  • Attend and investigate security intruder and access control alarm activations.
  • Present a smart, alert, visible and commanding security presence at all times, at the premises of our clients.
  • Greet, assist, and direct members of the public visiting the premises of our clients.
  • Conduct shift handover procedures at the start and end of each shift to ensure all matters of concern or note occurring during a shift are passed on for the purposes of service and incident management continuity.
  • Write complete and accurate handover and incident reports and take appropriate action as required on all reports passed to the employee at the commencement or during a duty shift.
  • Ensure the safety and security of our client’s buildings and assets by carrying out all duties in adherence with the Site Assignment Instructions.
  • Work as part of a team to provide Conflict Resolution assistance at client premises where there is a potential for conflict.
  • Carry out weighbridge duties including maintaining accurate records, where applicable.

Key Attributes:

  • Have the right to work in the UK.
  • Valid Front Line SIA Licence.
  • Valid Clean Driving Licence.
  • Required to complete health surveillance.
  • Required to go through BS7858 screening and vetting process.
  • Good customer interface skills and commercial awareness.
  • Good communication – oral/written.
  • Good team working skills.
  • Computer literate, with keyboard skills and experience of word-processing (Microsoft Word).
  • Reliable with excellent time-management skills.
  • Available to travel to cover other sites in the region if required.

All selected candidates will be expected to undertake each stage of the recruitment process. Stage 1: Competency based interview. A health surveillance will be arranged with our Occupational Health provider which will include a drug & alcohol test.
