THE ROLE
We are currently seeking a part-time Art & Technology Technician to support the work of our busy Technology & Art Department, providing technical support, resources, maintaining equipment and ensuring compliance with issues relating to health and safety. You will also provide day to day support to the teaching staff and our students during lessons. You will be able to manage a varied workload and be able to learn new skills effectively. You will also be a team player who has enthusiasm, adaptability and resilience and is committed to providing the highest levels of service. The role will initially be on a fixed term contract from 1 September 2026 until 31 August 2027, but this will be reviewed in the summer term.
The Academy is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Successful candidates will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check and all necessary safeguarding checks before employment commences. The Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, therefore all applicants must be prepared to undergo a number of checks to confirm their suitability to work with children and young people. In accordance with the Department of Education’s “Keeping Children Safe in Education”, references will be sought on all short‑listed candidates before interview. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and you will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS check or Enhanced DBS check with barred list. If you have information to declare it may be protected under the Exceptions Orders and you may not be required to declare it.
