Introduction
Faithdean PLC seek a Bid Coordinator to join us at our Head Office based in Lordswood, Chatham. This is a fast-paced role that involves working with a diverse range of people from within and outside of the business. The role would suit a graduate looking to start their career in the industry as knowledge of construction is advantageous but not essential. Alternatively, applications would be welcome from those looking to change careers or start in construction who can demonstrate transferrable skills.
Faithdean Plc is a privately owned building, refurbishment and fit out contractor with an established track record. Formed in 1977 and operating from offices in London and Kent. We have an extensive portfolio of successfully completed projects covering a range of construction criteria across all market sectors. This includes new build schemes, maximising existing developments including ‘cut and carve’ and major structural modifications, refurbishment and the fitting out of interior spaces. Our contract values range between £100k and £100m+
Job Role / Responsibilities
- Liaise and coordinate with internal teams to support the development and writing of bespoke, high-quality EOI, SQ and ITT submissions that demonstrate an understanding of client requirements.
- Translate technical information into proposals that can be understood by both technical and non-technical readers.
- Clearly communicate the key benefits of our tender response through the development of compelling proposals and presentations.
- Assist in producing case studies, staff profiles and gathering additional evidence to support submissions and marketing strategies.
- Help maintain the bid library to support future submissions.
- Review tender documents and generate a Response Matrix to ensure submission of a compliant bid.
- Attend tender launch meetings relating to the written/quality bid.
- Write responses to all allocated SQs and ITT questions, ensuring a clear, easy-to-understand, and high-scoring response.
- Request tender stage support from internal teams (programmes, methodologies, risk assessments, site logistics etc.) and follow up regularly to ensure timely return and high-quality information.
Experience / Skills
- Educated to degree level.
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office & Outlook.
- Proficiency in the use of Adobe InDesign is advantageous.
- Outstanding organisation skills with a great eye for detail and accuracy.
- Able to work to tight deadlines and in a timely manner.
- Work both well as part of a team and on their own. Able to use their own initiative.
- Flexibility and ability to deal with multiple priorities and how to manage these.
