This is a dual role involving events management and stakeholder development, particularly with the Beacon Mosque network. The role includes planning and organizing events in 2023, and supporting the development of mosques in sports and leadership areas.
Responsibilities include managing conferences, expos, seminars, parties, and trips, ensuring engagement and proper marketing. You will oversee the entire process from planning to execution, including securing sponsors and post-event evaluation. The role is hands-on, team-oriented, with UK-wide and possible overseas travel, including weekends and evenings.
6-Month Contract with potential extension based on performance.
Working hours and mobility generally work during office hours, with additional hours close to events. Part-time and remote work options available. Must have access to own car, be able to travel overseas, and have no visa restrictions.

- Work with senior management to deliver the British Beacon Mosque Awards and Expo, engaging community and corporate sectors, supporting mosques to reach their potential, and supporting training and audits both in the UK and internationally.
- Develop sporting links and grassroots programs to enhance engagement.

As an event manager and engagement officer, you will:
- Coordinate with stakeholders to determine event requirements.
- Create detailed proposals including timelines, venues, suppliers, legal obligations, staffing, and budgets.
- Research and negotiate with venues and suppliers.
- Manage logistics, publicity, guest speakers, and delegate packs.
- Handle on-the-day operations and troubleshoot.
- Manage staff and briefings.
- Arrange facilities and ensure safety and legal compliance.
- Oversee event dismantling and venue clearance.
- Produce post-event evaluations.
- Identify sponsorship opportunities.
- Engage with Beacon Mosque Award finalists and winners.
- Support mosque accreditation efforts.
- Maintain documentation and oversee programs.
