The Role: We currently have a vacancy for a Senior Integration and Test Engineer working on a flagship programme in the UK. The role includes designing, developing and maintaining test scripts and test reporting using both industry-standard manual and automation test suites and custom-developed frameworks. The testing process follows a hybrid Waterfall and Agile development and release process that supports critical customer mission goals around National Security using manual and automated testing techniques and tools. This person will be responsible for analyzing requirements and designs, and from this developing a risk-based test approach to provide test assurance in support of our change pipeline. You may also support business process improvements or systems analysis for missions, systems, and fiscal requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Work independently, or with a team of software and systems engineers; must be knowledgeable in industry-standard testing tools and methodologies.
  • Analyze requirements and design material and create test designs, test cases & procedures; identify test data, tooling, and environmental needs.
  • Collaborate with Test Leads, fellow test engineers and other stakeholders in planning, executing and reporting on test regimes.
  • Contribute to scrum teams; participate in daily scrums and proactively resolve obstacles.
  • Be a dynamic, innovative, self-starting problem solver capable of operating with minimal supervision.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Excellent understanding of the Testing Lifecycle and the different types of testing (e.g., Functional and Integration Testing).
  • Demonstrable systems integration experience including integrating 3rd party systems or components.
  • Ability to understand existing test processes and identify improvements and efficiencies.
  • Experience creating test cases based on requirements and design documents.
  • Knowledge or experience with software testing frameworks (e.g., Katalon Studio, Selenium, SoapUI, JUnit, DART, or similar).
  • Knowledge or experience with agile workload management and bug tracking (e.g., Jira, Bitbucket, or similar).
  • Experience working in a regulated environment testing.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to communicate with technical and non-technical team members.
  • Self-motivated and willing to engage colleagues to obtain missing information.

  • Experience with large-scale and complex integration programmes.
  • Performance testing and measurement of integrated systems.
  • Organizing/supporting user acceptance testing (UAT) prior to production deployment.
  • Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery tools.
  • Negative testing concepts and risk assessment reporting.

Clearance Requirements: You will be required to gain UK SC (Security Clearance) for this role. To be eligible for this role you must have UK Citizenship and have been a resident in the UK for a minimum of 5 years.
