We are looking for a talented Occupational Health Technician - Level IV to join our team specializing in Health and Safety for our Cummins Inc. facility in York, South Carolina. In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Provide timely injury assessment, care, and emergency response support to protect employee health and minimize workplace risk.
- Serve as the site medical and occupational health resource, ensuring compliance with HSE policies, regulatory requirements, and corporate standards.
- Strengthen site safety culture by identifying health and compliance gaps and embedding health and wellness practices into daily operations.
- Support case management, health surveillance, and trend analysis to proactively reduce work‑related and non‑work‑related health risks.
- Maintain accurate, confidential health records and documentation in accordance with data protection, retention, and quality requirements.
- Drive implementation of corporate health and wellness initiatives by organizing and delivering certified health training and employee engagement programs.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally to support ergonomic, industrial hygiene, inspection, and audit activities that reduce hazards and improve outcomes.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by communicating effectively, raising quality and cost exposure issues, and supporting site objectives and targets.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:
- High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
- A two year University degree from an accredited program in Nursing or related field of study required.
- CPR and First Aid training required.
Experience:
- Significant work experience and in‑depth knowledge obtained through specialized training and experience in occupational health or related field.
- This role is responsible for managing injury cases related to work‑related incidents and supporting employee recovery and return‑to‑work efforts.
- It also oversees the ergonomics program by conducting assessments, leading risk‑reduction initiatives, and providing ergonomic guidance and education to employees.
- Injury and incident data are regularly evaluated to identify high‑risk areas and prioritize prevention strategies.
- The position requires a background in sports medicine or athletic training, with a strong emphasis on preventative care, rehabilitation, and applied knowledge of physiology and biomechanics.
- Experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant is preferred to support effective injury prevention and recovery programs.
