Overview: Technical License Administrator role located in Huntingdon, UK. The Licensing Manager will perform system checks, manage access to vendor portals, carry out audits, and support IT engineers in providing licences on the appropriate domain to ensure operational output is not interrupted.
Responsibilities:
- Provide Technical License Management Support: experience with Vendor Licensing models, application of licenses to IT systems, and import/export procedures between disconnected IT systems.
- Utilise Service Tooling (e.g., ServiceDesk+, End Point Central, OpMan, ADMan) to identify under- or over-usage of applications and translate this into renewal requirements at renewal points.
- Audit information databases, particularly using Excel.
- Understand license models and how they operate in different environments; apply new licenses at renewal points to maintain service continuity.
- Maintain good relationships with internal and external stakeholders; communicate effectively.
- Produce and update technical documentation to a high standard.
Key Duties:
- SD+ Ticket resolutions: Utilize technical expertise to ensure licensing requests raised on SD+ are closed to the satisfaction of the originator.
- Maintenance: Complete and record periodic maintenance of the system using Periodic Preventative Maintenance (PPM).
- Documentation: Maintain and create documentation of system configuration changes and record work in SD+.
