Comparative Test Engineer
Location: Hybrid role at Whiteley, Hampshire.
Clearance Required: SC clearance required.
Responsibilities
- Generate test cases by reviewing requirements and design documentation, liaising with SMEs.
- Document test results, defects, and reporting progress.
- Investigate issues and work with suppliers to identify root cause and resolution.
- Analyse large datasets and test evidence from suppliers to demonstrate compliance with requirements.
- Analyse interface messaging data, compare legacy data to new systems.
- Identify improvements in new and existing processes.
- Support automation team in developing regression test packs.
- Execute tests across various software products, interfaces, and network & infrastructure configurations.
- Identify and manage resulting defects.
Qualifications
- ISTQB/ISEB Foundation Certificate in software testing.
- Ability to test in Whiteley.
- Good understanding of the Testing Lifecycle and various testing types (Functional, Non-Functional, Integration).
- Demonstrable experience in systems integration, including integration of third‑party systems or components.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Good time management and organisational skills; ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Enthusiastic, proactive, troubleshooting attitude with willingness to learn new technologies.
- Experience creating test cases based on requirements and design documents.

Compensation
£36,900.00-£46,100.00 (typical range).
