The Quality Assurance team is an independent function within Compliance, providing ongoing quality reviews of work performed by Compliance Production teams.
As a Quality Associate in Risk Management and Compliance, you will predominantly support QA testing across AML and Fraud activity, including Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) and No-File Cases, as well as Sanctions Reporting and Investigations activity.
You will perform targeted reviews, summarize results, and communicate findings to stakeholders-including identifying incorrect decision-making, gaps in process/procedure, and concerns regarding data integrity and adherence to standards.
- Job Responsibilities
- Perform Quality Assurance (QA) reviews of AML and Fraud Investigations (SARs and Cases) to confirm completeness, accuracy, and adherence to internal controls and standards.
- Review case narratives, supporting evidence, and case outcomes to confirm AML red flags, key risk indicators, and relevant typologies have been identified, assessed, and appropriately documented with a clear rationale.
- Conduct QA testing of Sanctions processes and outputs to verify required restrictive actions were applied and clearly documented with supporting evidence.
- Validate data integrity across case management systems and supporting documentation; identify and document data gaps and inconsistencies.
- Identify, log, and classify QA defects; ensure write-ups are clear, actionable, and aligned to applicable procedures and requirements.
- Apply independent judgment and elevate questions or concerns when rationale or supporting evidence for risk-based decisions is unclear or insufficient.
- Prepare and deliver QA summary reports to stakeholders, including defect trending and recommendations for process improvements.
- Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience within the Financial Crime Compliance industry, in particular exposure to Anti Money Laundering and/or Fraud.
- Strong research and analytical skills, with attention to detail, and the ability to analyze large amounts of data.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, to clearly articulate results of testing.
- Ability to translate technical data and information into business reports and presentations, with a good level of proficiency in MS Excel and Power Point.
- Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Prior experience in Quality Assurance/Controls/Audit related roles within the Compliance industry.
