We are seeking a Fine Sports Surface Specialist to join our expert team, dedicated to delivering the highest standards in sports surface preparation and maintenance. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain high-standard cricket wickets, golf greens and other sports surfaces
- Operate and maintain specialist turf equipment and machinery
- Diagnose and manage turf health issues including pests, disease, and drainage problems
- Work as part of a team to deliver exceptional playing surfaces across a variety of sites
- Liaise with clients and site managers to understand and meet specific surface requirements
- Follow and implement seasonal maintenance programs (mowing, rolling, scarifying, aeration, etc)
Requirements:
- Proven experience in maintaining fine turf surfaces particularly cricket pitches and/or golf courses
- In-depth understanding of turf care practices, soil science and sports surface standards
- Competency with fine turf machinery and tools
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- PA1/PA2/PA6 spraying certificates (desirable)
- Full UK driving licence
