This is an opportunity to become the founding Registered Manager of an ambitious children's residential care provider with exciting expansion plans over the next four years. You'll play a key role from day one - Along with an experienced Responsible Individual, you will both be leading the Ofsted registration, helping create outstanding practice, welcoming the first child into the home, and shaping the culture that future homes will follow. What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead with support from the RI the Ofsted registration process for a new children's home.
  • Recruit, develop and inspire a high-performing staff team.
  • Create a safe, nurturing and therapeutic environment where children can thrive.
  • Develop policies, procedures and best practice that will become the blueprint for future homes.
  • Work alongside a supportive Deputy Manager to ensure excellent standards and a healthy work-life balance.
  • Build strong relationships with professionals, local authorities and external agencies.
  • Drive outstanding outcomes for children and prepare the home for excellent Ofsted inspections.

Your Career Progression

  • 2026 – Home One: Become the founding Registered Manager. Lead the home from registration through to welcoming the first child.
  • 2027 – Home Two: Opportunity to lead the opening of a second home. 5% salary increase £2,000 successful placement bonus.
  • 2028 – Home Three: Progress into a Senior Manager position supporting multiple homes. Further 5% salary increase.
  • 2029 – Operations Manager: Lead all four homes. Salary package of £90,000–£100,000. Potential share options available.

Bonus Package

  • £2,000 bonus once the first child has successfully settled into the home for three months.
  • Additional £2,000 bonuses as you open future homes.
  • Annual performance bonus linked to Ofsted outcomes.
  • Future salary increases as you progress through the organisation.

About You

We're looking for someone who is passionate about delivering exceptional care and excited by the opportunity to build something special. You'll ideally have:

  • Previous experience as an Ofsted Registered Manager or an experienced Deputy Manager ready for registration.
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare.
  • Excellent knowledge of Ofsted regulations and Quality Standards.
  • Strong leadership, communication and decision-making skills.
  • A genuine commitment to improving the lives of children and young people.
