About the role

Working under the direction of the class teacher, you will support teaching and learning activities that help children engage, achieve and develop confidence in school. You will:

  • Support pupils individually, in small groups and within whole-class activities
  • Help create a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment
  • Encourage children's independence, confidence and participation
  • Support children with a range of learning needs, including SEND
  • Promote positive behaviour and attitudes to learning
  • Assist with the preparation and organisation of classroom resources
  • Help ensure pupils are safe, happy and ready to learn

The role may involve supporting children across different year groups and with a variety of educational and personal needs.
