About the Role
The Enhanced Specialist Provision supports up to 12–14 children with complex needs, including children with:
- Autism
- Communication and interaction needs
- Cognition and learning needs
- SEMH needs
- Complex SEND profiles
- EHCPs requiring highly personalised support
As Provision Lead, you will have responsibility for the day-to-day leadership, organisation and quality of the provision. You will:
- Lead teaching, learning and assessment within the provision
- Develop personalised programmes that enable children to make strong progress
- Ensure pupils remain connected to their mainstream peers wherever possible
- Lead, coach and line manage a team of specialist support staff
- Monitor progress and evaluate the impact of provision
- Work closely with families and external professionals
- Support EHCP implementation and annual reviews
- Maintain high standards of safeguarding, behaviour support and inclusion
- Champion inclusive practice across the wider school

- Has significant experience supporting children with complex SEND needs
- Has experience leading or developing teams
- Understands the SEND Code of Practice and person‑centred planning
- Has experience implementing and reviewing EHCP provision
- Can adapt curriculum and teaching approaches to meet individual needs
- Builds strong relationships with children, families and professionals
- Is highly organised and able to manage competing priorities
- Demonstrates resilience, reflection and professional curiosity
