As a Commissioning Engineer, you will supervise and coordinate on-site installation, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities for international industrial projects. You will work closely with contractors, suppliers, clients, and internal project teams to ensure all activities are executed safely, efficiently, and according to technical specifications.
You will oversee construction and commissioning activities across mechanical, piping, structural, and instrumentation disciplines, ensuring compliance with drawings, procedures, and quality standards. In addition, you will support testing activities, manage punch lists, prepare progress reports, and help resolve technical deviations during project execution.
The role requires strong coordination skills, technical insight, and a proactive mindset. You will contribute to a safe working environment while supporting successful project delivery at international locations.

What do you need
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Installation Engineering, or a related technical field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction, commissioning, or start-up activities within industrial or energy projects
- Experience in EPC or turnkey projects is preferred
- Strong technical understanding of mechanical systems, piping, steel structures, and industrial installations
- Affinity with electrical systems, instrumentation, and control equipment
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, P&IDs, and 3D models
- Experience preparing reports and technical documentation
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Fluent in Dutch and English, both written and spoken
- Willingness to work internationally for extended periods
- Strong focus on safety, quality, and teamwork
