Your purpose will be: To support the Chef de Partie in delivering exceptional 5‑star cuisine by preparing high‑quality dishes, maintaining excellent hygiene standards, and contributing to smooth, efficient kitchen operations.
Job Description
- Preparing dishes to the high standards of our distinctive 5‑star cuisine
- Ensuring cleanliness and hygiene standards are understood and never compromised
- Supporting the Chef de Partie and chefs in your section
- Assisting with producing dishes to specification, ensuring quality and consistency
- Supporting smooth service in your section through clear communication and efficient organisation
- Sharing ideas to help improve the operation and overall F&B offering
- Being knowledgeable in all food hygiene and health & safety
- Taking a proactive approach to reporting issues such as equipment faults or process improvements
Please note that we believe in flexibility and multi-skilling, and you may be asked to do different tasks from time to time to enable us to meet the needs of our guests and colleagues.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in the hospitality industry, ideally within a luxury hospitality setting
- Experience of supporting the running of a section in a kitchen and ability to motivate others
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and spoken
- Confidence in speaking with colleagues at all levels in the hotel
- Enthusiastic and positive personality and ability to build trusting relationships with others
- Proven organisation skills and ability to meet deadlines with quality results
- GNVQ Level 2 or 3
