Mercure Bridgwater is a stylish 4-star hotel in the heart of the town centre, featuring 119 contemporary bedrooms. Home to the renowned Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar & Grill, the hotel serves breakfast, lunch and dinner to the highest standards.
Role
We’re looking for a passionate Commis Chef to join our talented kitchen team at Mercure Bridgwater, home to the renowned Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar & Grill.
Working under the guidance of our highly experienced Head Chef, you’ll be involved in producing dishes across the hotel, with your main focus on the Steakhouse. From preparing fresh ingredients to delivering beautifully presented plates, you’ll play a key role in creating memorable dining experiences for our guests.
This is a full-time position (40 hours per week, 5 days out of 7, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays) — with the added bonus of no split shifts.
If you have previous experience in a similar role, that’s great, but it’s not essential — full training and support will be given. Most importantly, we’re looking for someone with a real passion for food, attention to detail, and the drive to consistently deliver to the highest standards.
Responsibilities
- Produce dishes across the hotel with a focus on the Steakhouse, under the guidance of the Head Chef.
- Prepare fresh ingredients and deliver beautifully presented plates to guests.
- Contribute to creating memorable dining experiences through attention to detail and high standards.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a similar role is welcome but not essential.
- Full training and support will be provided.
- Demonstrated passion for food, strong attention to detail, and a drive to consistently deliver high standards.
