Your purpose will be: The Bar-Back will provide prompt, courteous and efficient food and beverage service in a luxury 5-star brand inspired hotel bar/lounge where attention to detail is key.

You will be accountable for:

  • Carry out specific tasks for Bar Back to ensure smooth running of the bar.
  • Attend to all guest requests, being constantly aware of anticipating guests’ needs and to remain in the restaurant at all times during service.
  • Produce drinks orders accurately and in a timely fashion meeting service essentials timings.
  • Help to ensure the smooth running of all guests' requirements and needs on each table.
  • Provide assistance in all areas of the restaurants.
  • Effectively manage your time and productivity whilst at work.
  • Ensure a clean stocked bar for a smooth running of the bar areas.
  • Ensure clean fridges for smooth running service.
  • Clean and vacuum in and around the restaurant areas as required and directed by the manager on duty.
  • Keep a high standard of personal hygiene and appearance.
  • Approach the guest in the correct manner as laid out by Fairmont Standards.
  • Use the guests' name whenever possible, in accordance with Fairmont Standards.
  • Have full knowledge of the food and drinks menu, to be able to explain, recommend and sell dishes to our guests.
  • Follow and complete any instructions given to you by your Managers.
  • Attend briefings and departmental meetings.
  • Speak English at all times within the Savoy Hotel.
  • Have good Micros skills and follow correctly the Micros billing system.

Qualifications What you will need to do this role:

  • 1-3 years’ experience in the Hospitality Industry.
  • Proven organizational skills, works well on their own.
  • Able to set and meet deadlines with quality results.
