A rare and exciting opportunity to join our Events team has become available. As Event Coordinator you will effectively manage and facilitate corporate & social events while exceeding financial goals and customer expectations.
A little bit about what you will be doing:
- To establish productive relationships with all meeting planners through the planning and implementation of programs.
- Plan, organise and coordinate the assigned conventions, to include all food and beverage, meeting room set up, recreational activities, and to ensure proper billing is maintained.
- Consistently perform standards of service, interact with guests/clients and all hotel employees in a professional, gracious and friendly manner.
- Provide hotel departments with thorough information on all banquet events to ensure high levels of service and guest satisfaction.
- Follow through with information distributed (BEOs, Resumes, Group Cover Sheets) to operational departments to ensure that it is understood and able to be carried out in a manner which the meeting planner expects.
Qualifications:
- Service focused personality is essential; experience within events is an asset.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work cohesively and collectively as part of a team.
