Salary: £33,853 (including service charge)
Purpose: Responsible for the Hotel’s Cloakrooms from both ongoing service and cleanliness.
Accountable For:
- Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Show utmost courtesy to all guests and help wherever the need arises.
- Give guests directions as and when needed.
- Tag all bags and coats properly and hand over to the guest the corresponding number.
- Keep all bags out of sight and secure.
- Return any items to guest only when the corresponding ticket is handed in.
- By end of shift hand over all Lost and Found articles to Security.
- When a ticket loss occurs, work with Security to resolve the matter to the guest's satisfaction.
- If needed arrange with Valet to supply customers with jackets and ties to comply with the dress code.
- Act as Ambassador for the hotel, interacting with all guests and patrons positively and engagingly.
- Keep wet areas (urinals, toilets, washbasins) floor clean.
- Ensure constant supply of clean hand towels and other required items.
- Monitor and replace all paper requirements in a timely manner.
- Leave on display and refill agreed guest supplies.
- Maintain stock of additional items for requests.
- Provide shoeshine service when needed.
- Hand out towels to patrons and assist in other hygiene needs (e.g., turning on taps) as required.
- Cooperate fully with all other operating departments in the hotel.
Qualifications:
- 1–3 years’ experience working in the Hospitality Industry.
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Flexibility required from Monday to Sunday; shift patterns: 07:00–15:30, 16:30–01:00, and additional shifts in between.
- Good toilet cleaning skills, ensuring high standards of hygiene and cleanliness.
- Confident and dynamic speaker, able to communicate and interact effectively with all levels of an organization.
- Enthusiastic and positive personality with the ability to build trusting relationships with others.
- Proven organisational skills, can work independently and set and meet deadlines with quality results.
- Applicable job‑related skills as per Accountable Duties.
