Job Description
- Prepare and service guest rooms to Fairmont’s exacting luxury standards
- Ensure impeccable cleanliness and presentation of bedrooms, bathrooms, and amenities
- Replenish linens, towels, and guest supplies with care and consistency
- Report maintenance issues promptly, ensuring rooms remain in perfect condition
- Handle guest belongings and privacy with the utmost respect and discretion
- Support VIP room preparations, ensuring personalised touches and flawless presentation
- Maintain housekeeping trolleys and storage areas in a clean, organised, and fully stocked state
- Respond to guest requests with warmth, professionalism, and a guest‑first mindset
- Collaborate with Floor Supervisors, Housekeeping, and Front Office to ensure timely room readiness
- Follow all cleaning procedures, including deep‑cleaning schedules and brand standards
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations, including COSHH and manual handling
- Participate in daily briefings and training sessions to stay aligned with service expectations
- Support lost‑and‑found procedures with accuracy and confidentiality
- Contribute to a positive, respectful, and team‑focused working environment
- Uphold Fairmont grooming, communication, and service standards at all times
Qualifications
- 1 year of housekeeping or cleaning experience, ideally within a luxury hotel environment
- Strong attention to detail and pride in delivering exceptional standards
- Understanding of cleaning procedures, hygiene standards, and room presentation
- Knowledge of UK health & safety regulations, including COSHH (training can be provided)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good time‑management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks
- Professional, courteous, and guest‑focused attitude
- Physical ability to meet the demands of the role, including manual handling
