Your Purpose Will Be:
- To participate in team management of golf services, training and development of staff, P&L Responsibility, driving sales and guest satisfaction/experience belonging to Fairmont Cheshire, The Mere.
- To maintain the standards, safety and quality of service as set out in the brand SOP.
Job Description:
- Support sales plans, promotions and team incentives
- Work with marketing to keep all golf promotions up to date
- Understand departmental budgets and revenue targets
- Report on all golf‑related revenues
- Take a commercial approach to daily operations to help drive income
- Look for ways to improve service and introduce new ideas
- Ensure all Golf Services follow SOPs and brand standards
- Help maintain and improve guest satisfaction scores
- Lead by example in delivering an exceptional guest journey
- Support colleagues and promote a positive team culture
- Train and guide junior team members
- Contribute to team development and succession planning
- Monitor business levels to ensure smooth daily operations
- Work closely with other departments to maximise performance
- Maintain cleanliness in all front and back‑of‑house golf areas
- Attend weekly Resort Operations Meetings when possible
Qualifications:
- 1–2 years of experience in golf operations or guest‑facing leisure services within a luxury resort or premium hospitality setting (preferred)
- Strong communication and customer‑service skills
- Good organisational and leadership abilities
- Basic IT proficiency (PMS, booking systems, Microsoft Office)
- Ability to work outdoors and manage the physical demands of the role
- Knowledge of golf etiquette, products and services (preferred)
- First Aid certification (preferred)
