Your Purpose Will Be To participate in team management of golf services, training and development of staff, P&L Responsibility, driving sales and guest satisfaction/experience belonging to Fairmont Cheshire, The Mere. To maintain the standards, safety and quality of service as set out in the brand SOP.

  • Support sales plans, promotions and team incentives.
  • Work with marketing to keep all golf promotions up to date.
  • Understand departmental budgets and revenue targets.
  • Report on all golf‑related revenues.
  • Take a commercial approach to daily operations to help drive income.
  • Look for ways to improve service and introduce new ideas.
  • Ensure all Golf Services follow SOPs and brand standards.
  • Help maintain and improve guest satisfaction scores.
  • Lead by example in delivering an exceptional guest journey.
  • Support colleagues and promote a positive team culture.
  • Train and guide junior team members.
  • Contribute to team development and succession planning.
  • Monitor business levels to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Work closely with other departments to maximise performance.
  • Maintain cleanliness in all front and back‑of‑house golf areas.
  • Attend weekly Resort Operations Meetings when possible.

Qualifications:

  • 1–2 years of experience in golf operations or guest‑facing leisure services within a luxury resort or premium hospitality setting (preferred).
  • Strong communication and customer‑service skills.
  • Good organisational and leadership abilities.
  • Basic IT proficiency (PMS, booking systems, Microsoft Office).
  • Ability to work outdoors and manage the physical demands of the role.
  • Knowledge of golf etiquette, products and services (preferred).
  • First Aid certification (preferred).
