Your Purpose Will Be To participate in team management of golf services, training and development of staff, P&L Responsibility, driving sales and guest satisfaction/experience belonging to Fairmont Cheshire, The Mere. To maintain the standards, safety and quality of service as set out in the brand SOP.
- Support sales plans, promotions and team incentives.
- Work with marketing to keep all golf promotions up to date.
- Understand departmental budgets and revenue targets.
- Report on all golf‑related revenues.
- Take a commercial approach to daily operations to help drive income.
- Look for ways to improve service and introduce new ideas.
- Ensure all Golf Services follow SOPs and brand standards.
- Help maintain and improve guest satisfaction scores.
- Lead by example in delivering an exceptional guest journey.
- Support colleagues and promote a positive team culture.
- Train and guide junior team members.
- Contribute to team development and succession planning.
- Monitor business levels to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Work closely with other departments to maximise performance.
- Maintain cleanliness in all front and back‑of‑house golf areas.
- Attend weekly Resort Operations Meetings when possible.
Qualifications:
- 1–2 years of experience in golf operations or guest‑facing leisure services within a luxury resort or premium hospitality setting (preferred).
- Strong communication and customer‑service skills.
- Good organisational and leadership abilities.
- Basic IT proficiency (PMS, booking systems, Microsoft Office).
- Ability to work outdoors and manage the physical demands of the role.
- Knowledge of golf etiquette, products and services (preferred).
- First Aid certification (preferred).
