Job Description

The Events Manager is responsible for supervising and participating in the banquet operation and servicing the banqueting functions held in the banqueting rooms, exhibition center, and other designated areas. The Events Manager will be responsible for attaining budgeted revenues and for the overall supervision of the banqueting staff, ensuring that all duties are carried out in accordance with Novotel standards and legal requirements.

Responsibilities include:

  • Presenting a professional, friendly, and efficient impression of the Hotel at all times.
  • Establishing a good working relationship with guests, visitors, and colleagues, creating a team that works well together and with other departments.
  • Being fully conversant with all facilities and services of the Novotel London West.
  • Ensuring continuity and quality of service and product, reviewing and updating service methods and products to maintain our competitive edge.
  • Ensuring that sufficient equipment, china, glass, and cutlery are available to cope with banqueting demands.
  • Recording the cost of casual labour, flowers, equipment, rental, commission, and other expenses to approve all monthly invoices.
  • Supervising all VIP functions.
  • Directly supervising all MICE staff; controlling staff rotas and monitoring shifts to ensure adequate staffing levels are maintained for business demands.

Qualifications:

  • Previous work experience as an Events Manager in a 4* – 5* hotel.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven commercial acumen through previous roles.
  • Fluent in English – spoken and written.
