Fairmont St Andrews are looking for an Assistant Bars Manager to join our busy and vibrant team! Reporting to the Bar Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Consistently offer professional, engaging and friendly service
- Take sole responsibility for the outlet during the shift, allocating team members their duties and monitoring the smooth running of the outlet
- Maintain a safe, secure and hygienic environment for customers, staff and visitors
- Promote products to our customers relating to our hotel and the Fairmont brand
- Handle all cash, payments, billing and gratuities in line with Beverage Department procedures
- Train and develop the team through innovative and creative training sessions
- Develop an annual training calendar, anticipating the needs of each individual and document such training professionally
- Assist the Executive Chef and Bar Manager in developing and implementing new food strategies for the department
- Cover the Bar Manager in their absence
Qualifications:
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Highly responsible & reliable
- Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
Visa Requirements: Applicants must be eligible to work in the EU or hold a valid work authorisation for the UK.
