The Lifeguard is responsible for ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all guests and members in and around the indoor and outdoor swimming pools, sauna, and steam rooms. This role involves vigilant supervision, quick response to emergencies, and adherence to health and safety regulations to prevent accidents and maintain a secure environment.
- Monitor and supervise activities in the indoor and outdoor swimming pools, as well as the sauna and steam rooms, ensuring the safety of all users.
- Enforce all pool rules and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Perform water rescues, first aid, and CPR when necessary.
- Conduct regular inspections of the pool area, sauna, and steam rooms to identify and rectify safety hazards.
- Ensure that the pool, sauna, and steam rooms are clean, safe, and well-maintained.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting guests with questions and ensuring their safety and comfort.
More about you:
- Valid lifeguard certification (e.g., RLSS National Pool Lifeguard Qualification or equivalent).
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Strong swimming ability and proficiency in water rescue techniques.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to pools, saunas, and steam rooms.
- Excellent observation and communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm and act quickly in emergencies.
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential.
