A bit about what you will do… The Garden Supervisor in our team maintains the hotel grounds to the highest standards, leading and contributing to the overall well‑being and relaxation of guests in our luxurious hotel. Develop and implement planned maintenance programmes to ensure all external areas across the maintained portfolio are kept to a high standard. Supervise and coordinate the work of gardeners and grounds maintenance staff. Ensure full compliance with all risk assessments and safe systems of work relating to grounds maintenance activities. Carry out daily checks of all work equipment, including inspections for damage or defects and checks of fuel, oil and water levels. Identify, record and request materials and supplies required for gardening and landscaping tasks. Undertake daily, weekly and monthly safety inspections of grounds maintenance vehicles and equipment. Regularly inspect and ensure the correct use and condition of personal protective equipment (PPE). Carry out a wide range of landscaping and grounds maintenance duties, including planting, pruning, lawn cutting, trimming, hedge cutting, jet washing, weeding, leaf and litter clearance, and external timber treatment and painting. Apply weed control, fertilisers and specialist treatments (PA1 & PA6 certified) and monitor the overall health and condition of tree stock.
