We are seeking a highly organised and experienced Project Manager to lead and oversee a variety of projects within the healthcare and education sector based in Cambridge. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget, while maintaining high standards of quality and stakeholder satisfaction. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a proactive leader with strong technical skills and a proven track record in project management to contribute to strategic initiatives and drive operational excellence.

Duties

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of projects, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and strategic priorities.
  • Manage cross-functional teams, providing clear direction, motivation, and support to achieve project objectives.
  • Conduct root cause analysis to identify issues early and implement effective solutions to mitigate risks.
  • Gather and define project requirements by engaging with stakeholders and translating needs into actionable plans.
  • Utilise project management software such as Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Jira, Smartsheet, or similar tools to develop schedules, track progress, and report on project status.
  • Oversee budget control and cost management activities to ensure financial targets are met.
  • Manage content within content management systems and maintain documentation in SharePoint or similar platforms.
  • Monitor project progress through data analysis skills and utilise insights to inform decision-making processes.
  • Promote continuous improvement by implementing best practices in product development and product management processes.

Experience

  • Proven management experience within the construction sector, ideally commercial, healthcare and education builds with a track record of leading successful projects.
  • Supervising experience is essential, demonstrating ability to manage diverse teams effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise confidently with clients, contractors, and team members.
  • Proven supervising experience with a strong emphasis on team management and leadership qualities.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
  • Experience in product development and content management systems is desirable.
  • Relevant qualifications in project management (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP) are preferred but not essential.
