Manage and supervise junior bookkeepers and bookkeeping assistants. Allocate work and monitor workloads to ensure deadlines are met. Review bookkeeping work prepared by team members. Maintain accurate accounting records for a portfolio of clients. Review and prepare VAT returns. Ensure compliance with Making Tax Digital (MTD) requirements. Identify and resolve VAT issues and discrepancies. Liaise with HMRC regarding bookkeeping and VAT matters where required. Act as the primary contact for bookkeeping clients. Respond to client queries promptly and professionally. Review monthly bookkeeping records. Prepare management accounts support schedules. Ensure all balance sheet reconciliations are completed. Identify opportunities to improve efficiency.
