Your focus as Care Assistant will be to deliver high standards of care to vulnerable patients. Other responsibilities will include:
- Assisting residents with all their personal needs, ensuring optimum independence, dignity and respect of individuals at all times.
- Ensuring documentation is completed in a timely fashion, reflecting the care delivered and escalating concerns regarding a patient's health and wellbeing to the nurse in charge at the earliest possible opportunity.
- Being friendly, kind and compassionate towards patients, relatives, visitors, and colleagues, respecting the dignity and individuality of each patient.

Starting as a Care Assistant, you can earn up to £13.50 per hour within the first 12 to 18 months, and learn valuable specialised clinical skills in the process. Our fast-track Care Assistant programme is now open to new applicants who demonstrate our values and are motivated to learn how to deliver outstanding care.
To be successful in your application, you will live our values of caring, supportive, honest, respectful, and accountable in all that you do. Experience is preferred but not required as we are proud to offer a thorough induction and training programme, after which you will work towards your Care Certificate qualification so you can gain confidence within your role.
Our ideal candidate must:
- Have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Demonstrate initiative and be respectful towards patients and other people in the home.
- Be an efficient worker who can carry reasonable instructions from other team members.
- Be able to be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.
Please note this role will require:
- A DBS Disclosure check, the cost of which will be met by Fairlie Healthcare Group.
- Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
