About the Role – We are seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join the Glasgow Office. This opportunity would suit an ambitious Structural Engineer with a focus on career progression, who enjoys working within a collaborative environment on exciting and varied projects across Scotland and the UK.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Undertake structural analysis and detailed design for building and infrastructure projects in accordance with relevant building regulations, design standards, codes of practice and health and safety standards.
  • Design input associated with preparation of technical drawings, specifications and reports.
  • Carry out site inspections and liaise with contractors during construction.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high quality engineering solutions.
  • Support Senior Engineers and Mentor graduate Engineers.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s or Masters Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Working towards Chartered status (MICE or MIStructE).
  • Proven experience in structural design across a range of materials (steel, concrete, timber, masonry).
  • Strong knowledge of design software (eg. TSD, Tedds etc.)
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to manage workload and deliver to deadlines
  • Previous experience in a UK Consultancy
  • Full clean driving license
