Structural Engineer – Fairhurst, Leeds

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join the Leeds office, focusing on career progression within a collaborative environment on exciting and varied projects across the UK.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Undertake structural analysis and detailed design for building and infrastructure projects in accordance with relevant building regulations, design standards, codes of practice and health and safety standards.
- Design input associated with preparation of technical drawings, specifications and reports.
- Carry out site inspections and liaise with contractors during construction.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high quality engineering solutions.
- Support Senior Engineers and mentor graduate engineers.
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Working towards Chartered status (MICE or MIStructE).
- Proven experience in structural design across a range of materials (steel, concrete, timber, masonry).
- Strong knowledge of design software (e.g. TSD, Tedds etc.).
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage workload and deliver to deadlines.Previous experience in a UK consultancy.
- Full clean driving license.
