About the Role – Due to an increasing forward workload, we are currently looking to appoint an experienced Senior Geotechnical Engineer within our Edinburgh Office. The successful candidate will have a fantastic opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects spanning the energy, transportation, industrial, retail, residential and commercial sectors. The available roles offer clear routes for career progress for those looking to proactively advance their careers having achieved chartership status.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manipulation and interpretation of geotechnical data from site investigations for a wide range of schemes
- Prepare ground models and design parameters
- Undertake modelling and analysis reviews
- Undertake Geotechnical analysis and design e.g. Pile design, Settlement, slope stability assessments etc
- Training and mentoring of junior staff
- Support managers with bid preparation and business development.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
- An MSc in Geotechnical Engineering would be advantageous
- Chartered membership of the ICE or Geological Society is required.
- Ability to manage multiple projects
- Experience of modelling software such as Holebase, Slide, Settle 3D, Wallap etc
- Flexible and enthusiastic approach to working within a team structure
- Good communication skills across disciplines
