You will be joining a supportive and forward‑thinking team where you will play a key role in delivering high‑quality heating services that make a real difference to residents' lives. As Assistant Operations Business Manager – Gas at Fairhive Homes, a not‑for‑profit provider of social housing, you will support the effective delivery of repairs, servicing and installation programmes, ensuring that homes are maintained to a safe and high standard.

Responsibilities

  • Support the effective delivery of repairs, servicing and installation programmes, ensuring homes are maintained to a safe, high standard.
  • Coordinate day‑to‑day activities across the service, working closely with operatives and contractors to ensure work is completed efficiently, safely, and with the customer at the centre of everything you do.
  • Help drive strong operational performance and contribute to continuous improvement across the Heating Direct Labour Organisation.
  • Ensure compliance with Gas Safety regulations and Health and Safety legislation, maintaining a safe environment for both residents and colleagues.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with residents, keeping them informed and delivering a high‑quality, customer‑focused service throughout.

Qualifications

  • A valid ACS qualification in domestic Gas Safety.
  • Experience in a similar role from a repairs, maintenance, or housing environment.
  • Understanding of Gas Compliance and Health and Safety requirements.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, confident in communicating across all levels of business.
  • Strong organisational, time‑management, administrative and prioritisation skills.
  • Good intermediate IT skills.
