We are seeking a proactive and organised HR Officer to join our HR team. Reporting directly to the HR Team Leader, you will provide generalist HR support across various business functions at the designated campus/office location. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing and supporting employee investigations, disciplinary and grievance casework.
- Delivering induction training.
- Supporting recruitment and onboarding.
- Overseeing the entire employee lifecycle from transfers to offboarding.
- Assisting in preparing HR documentation and maintaining accurate employee records.
- Supporting payroll reconciliation and collaborating on the production of HR metrics and training delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide generalist HR support across the business, ensuring efficient HR services and support at the designated campus/office location.
- Respond to HR related queries and requests from staff, providing timely and accurate information.
- Manage and support investigations, disciplinary actions, and grievance casework.
- Deliver new starter induction training to ensure smooth onboarding.
- Support recruitment processes by assisting with interviewing and onboarding of new staff.
- Ensure that all new hires have the legal right to work in the UK.
- Oversee the employee lifecycle, including transfers, promotions, and offboarding.
- Prepare HR documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in compliance with data protection regulations.
- Collaborate with the Payroll team to reconcile monthly working hours and assist in the production of payroll statistics.
- Support the HR Team Leader in the preparation of HR metrics and reports.
- Deliver HR training on request.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR processes, policies, and practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (CIPD qualification is a plus).
- Proven experience in a generalist HR role.
- Strong knowledge of HR policies, employment law, and best practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
- Experience in preparing HR documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate records.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Strong administrative skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR software systems.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with different departments.
