Our client is seeking a Veritas NetBackup expert in Sheffield, UK. This is a FTE role.

Performing the installation, configuration, and upgradation on the Master Media Client Servers for NetBackup and recovery software. Perform daily backup routine maintenance, investigate and resolve issues on backup recovery operations. Perform regular system maintenance, incident solving, change implementation, and patch management. Analyse and solve performance and security issues. Complex backup scheduling maintenance also includes helping solve complex problems related to operating system databases or applications teams. Provide support during disaster recovery situations and plan failover fallback procedures. Ensure data recoverability by performing regular restore tests. Participate in an on-call and shift rotation to support business customers. Handle escalation calls and join priority calls. Work closely with vendors to resolve complex issues and implement best practices. Generate and analyse backup and recovery reports, presenting findings to management.
