We are looking for a dedicated and supportive Teaching Assistant to work alongside teaching staff to deliver high‑quality learning experiences for pupils, including those with SEND. You will support individuals and small groups both in and outside the classroom, helping to implement tailored learning programmes and contribute to planning and resource preparation.

Responsibilities

  • Promote an inclusive, positive learning environment and support pupils’ development, independence, and wellbeing.
  • Assist with personal care where required; monitor progress, provide feedback, and maintain accurate pupil records.
  • Support lesson delivery, behaviour management, and the use of effective teaching strategies, including early years frameworks and ICT.
  • Liaise with parents and professionals, contribute to the wider school community, and uphold safeguarding, health and safety, and equality standards.
  • Diversely support supervising classes in the short‑term absence of a teacher, extracurricular activities, and contribute to the overall ethos and success of the school.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to build positive, professional relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
  • Resilience, emotional intelligence and the ability to manage classroom behaviour.
