About Faire

Faire is an online wholesale marketplace built on the belief that the future is local — independent retailers around the globe are doing more revenue than Walmart and Amazon combined, but individually, they are small compared to these massive entities. At Faire, we're using the power of tech, data, and machine learning to connect this thriving community of entrepreneurs across the globe. Picture your favourite boutique in town — we help them discover the best products from around the world to sell in their stores. With the right tools and insights, we believe that we can level the playing field so that small businesses everywhere can compete with these big box and e-commerce giants. By supporting the growth of independent businesses, Faire is driving positive economic impact in local communities, globally. We're looking for smart, resourceful and passionate people to join us as we power the shop local movement. If you believe in community, come join ours.

About this role

We are looking for a Strategy & Operations Senior Associate to play a pivotal role in driving informed, data-backed decisions across our international business. In this role you'll leverage a unique combination of skills, including analytical rigor, strategic intuition, and execution, to drive growth for our business. As a core member of our International Strategy team, you'll have the chance to lead mission-critical projects end to end. You'll partner cross-functionally with Product, Sales, Operations, Marketing, and Finance teams to inform the strategic roadmap by generating insights and helping translate them into action. This is an ideal role for someone who wants to work as a high-impact individual contributor in a fast-paced, highly collaborative, and data-driven environment and have the opportunity to gain exposure to partnering with a variety of functions. This role is based out of our London, UK office (3 days in the office).

What you'll do

  • Break down complex and ambiguous problems to uncover actionable insights.
  • Lead large cross-functional strategic initiatives that move company metrics in partnership with Product, Sales, Finance, Operations, Marketing, etc.
  • Identify opportunities, develop hypotheses, execute in-depth analysis, and make recommendations to Faire's leadership team based on your findings.
  • Provide thought partnership to cross-functional teammates to ensure the organization is using data thoughtfully and correctly.
  • You will be required to regularly demonstrate the ability to exercise independent discretion in analytical rigor, strategic intuition and execution.

Qualifications

  • Must possess a bachelor's degree.
  • 3 years experience in analytical, financial or strategic roles.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL is a strong plus.
  • Analytical rigor: ability to work with data, customer feedback, and team input to rapidly dig to the root, draw insights, and synthesize the answer.
  • Strategic intuition: understanding of customer, product, business, and financial foundations to quickly narrow in on only the most important variables.

Hybrid

Faire employees currently go into the office 3 days per week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and a third flex day of their choosing (Monday, Wednesday, or Friday). Additionally, hybrid in-office roles will have the flexibility to work remotely up to 4 weeks per year. Specific Workplace and Information Technology positions may require onsite attendance 5 days per week as will be indicated in the job posting.

Applications for this position will be accepted for a minimum of 30 days from the posting date.
