Overview

Fair Ways, Southampton, England, United Kingdom. We are recruiting an Independent Form F Assessor for the Fostering Team. This is a self-employed contractor position. Applicants will be able to facilitate invoicing for Fair Ways for any work undertaken.

Responsibilities

  • Using your communication skills to build great relationships with potential applicants and manage sensitive information and challenging conversations.
  • Support and develop potential foster carers by analysing and assessing their skills and experiences, identifying strengths, weaknesses, risk, and areas for professional development.
  • Present your findings by compiling assessments and supporting material to meet deadlines and present the completed assessment to Fair Ways Independent Fostering panel.
  • Regularly update the fostering recruitment manager on progress and share write-ups of observations, meetings, discussions and references.
  • Provide fully supported assessments; Fair Ways will provide full administration support related to fostering statutory checks to reduce workload.
  • Fees: Assessors can benefit up to £2,300 per assessment plus comprehensive professional support and training, travel expenses, and administrative support.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • A qualification relevant to the post (e.g., BSc Social Work).
  • Significant post-qualification experience in undertaking relevant assessment work.
  • Registered with Social Work England.
  • Flexible hourly basis with no minimum/maximum hours; must be able to work agreed hours over weekends and weekdays depending on assessment needs.
  • Successful candidates will be required to provide an enhanced Disclosure (DBS).
