Do you have a knack for explaining complex processes and making them sound simple? If you have experience in the e-learning content development field especially focusing on food production (agriculture, or fisheries, or aquaculture), and want to teach others, this job is for you.
We’re looking for an E-Learning Developer with experience in creating accessible, responsive courses mostly targeting food production professionals, to join our FAI Academy team. You’ll work closely with our e-learning team and focus on learning design, conversion and managing localization of course content in collaboration with the editorial team.
As an E-Learning Developer, you will be responsible for turning often complex concepts into digestible pieces of information and assist with the creation of supporting visuals and videos. To be successful in this role, you need to have experience with Graphic Design, storytelling and development of accessible, responsive courses using authoring tools such as Articulate, H5P, or Xerte, and creating courses using Moodle. A background in UX, copywriting and Wordpress website management is also necessary.
Tasks
- Design and develop courses focusing on sustainable food production and animal welfare.
- Design effective onboarding of new user to our different software platforms. Guiding users through the initial setup, learning, and familiarization stages to help them effectively use the software.
- Design infographics and videos when necessary, create detailed design briefs and scripts for videos.
- Be proactive and suggest new learning materials, new learning styles and designs aiming to train a variety of professionals (farmers, managers) and higher education students.
- Provide guidance to our content and editorial team members.
- Support the management of the training delivery process in collaboration with the E-learning program manager.
- Create and manage courses using Moodle and FAI in-house cloud based TMS (training will be provided).
- Update WordPress site.
- Test the courses and the LMS and TMS.
Requirements
- Background in content or copywriting.
- Portfolio or sample of created e-learning courses.
- The ability to set up a file management system for photo & video.
- Fluency in written and oral English.
- Working knowledge of the following software and platforms:
- Adobe Creative Cloud, specifically Photoshop, InDesign, Adobe Express or equivalent (Gimp, Scribus, Canva) allowing to create infographics, graphic design for printing job aids, social media videos and animations, video tutorials.
- Publishing and managing videos on Vimeo, YouTube, including managing subtitles and transcripts for inclusivity purposes.
- Articulate Rise and Storyline.
- H5P.
- Office 365.
- Moodle.
- Experience with instructional design:
- ADDIE instructional design model.
- E-learning accessibility and usability standards.
- Localisation.
- Evaluation.
- Accessible courses following the United Nations Online Learning Framework.
- Experience or the ability to:
- create Interactive Walkthroughs: Step-by-step guides or interactive tutorials that take users through the core functionalities of the software.
- write Tooltips and Pop-ups.
- create and manage Help Center and FAQs: A repository of articles, videos, and FAQs that users can refer to for more detailed information about specific features or common issues.
- create Video Tutorials: Short video guides that demonstrate how to use certain features or perform specific tasks within the software.
Desirable Requirements
- Basic understanding of ClickUp or equivalent.
- Ability to use Figma.
- Spanish or Portuguese.
- Animal welfare knowledge, including fish.
