Responsibilities:

  • Helping to maintain stock levels including accurate stock management and rotation.
  • Receiving and unloading incoming deliveries/goods ordered from suppliers.
  • Assisting with the compounding of unlicensed medicines.
  • Ensuring that health and safety requirements are met.
  • Dispensing prescriptions.
  • Using computer systems to generate stock lists and labels.
  • Liaising with the Procurement department to order items for use within the dispensary.
  • Bringing any problems identified or queries raised to the attention of pharmacists or pharmacy technicians.

This is a role based in the pharmacy within the UK. Current and valid UK right to work. Previous UK-registered pharmacy experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided, plus you will be required to study for and gain the NVQ level 2. Completion of the Pharmacy Services Assistant qualification NVQ level 2 (or equivalent) is desirable but not essential. The ability to read and carry out instructions and pay attention to detail.
