About the job:

  • Helping to maintain stock levels including accurate stock management and rotation.
  • Receiving and unloading incoming deliveries/goods ordered from suppliers.
  • Assisting with the compounding of unlicensed medicines.
  • Ensuring that health and safety requirements are met.
  • Dispensing prescriptions.
  • Using computer systems to generate stock lists and labels.
  • Liaising with the Procurement department to order items for use within the dispensary.
  • Bringing any problems identified or queries raised to the attention of pharmacists or pharmacy technicians.

Set yourself apart:

  • This is a role based in the pharmacy within the UK.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Current and valid UK right to work.
  • Previous UK-registered pharmacy experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided, plus you will be required to study for and gain the NVQ level 2.
  • Completion of the Pharmacy Services Assistant qualification NVQ level 2 (or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.
  • The ability to read and carry out instructions.
  • The ability to pay attention to detail.
