Be committed to working as part of an effective team. You will use your industry experience and knowledge to provide detailed estimates for client projects both pre and post order, maintain existing client contracts and continuously seek out new clients and estimating opportunities. Acting as an ambassador to position the company's reputation as an industry leading and respected specialist system integrator.
Attributes and skills:
- Experience in designing/engineering fire safety, electronic security and associated systems.
- Knowledge of BS compliant design requirements.
- Conversant with aspirating smoke detection system design software.
- Knowledge of enterprise level electronic security systems and integrated security management systems.
- Conversant with IT systems such as Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.
- Ability to understand technical specifications.
- Strong communicator, self-confident with exceptional relationship building skills.
- Strong customer-facing skills and exceptional customer service skills.
- Specific attention to detail and ability to work on your own initiative.
- Professional approach, self-motivating with drive and initiative.
- Valid driving licence is essential, with the ability to visit client sites.
- Good sales and networking skills.
- Technical document/proposal writing experience preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare cost budgets and cost estimates for new contracts.
- Keep existing contracts up to date, including making amendments, providing new cost estimates, and maintaining communication with the client.
- Produce detailed technical designs that are fully coordinated and achieve Status A or B approval at construction stage.
- Adhere to company standards and guidelines when analysing and providing estimations, focusing on maximising profit and customer satisfaction while minimising potential risks to the company.
- Prepare detailed and well-written proposals for each client, adhering to client guidelines while offering competitive and comprehensive cost estimates, and including supplementary documentation.
- Maintain relationships with existing clients keeping a sales-minded attitude, and seek out and build relationships with new clients.
- Work with the delivery team to help with development, innovation, and creativity on client projects.
- Keep detailed records of all design and estimation documentation, including site assessments and contract terms, updating any existing contracts immediately upon agreement of new terms with the client.
- Prepare and submit accurate cost/sales documents, including client schedule of rates documents.
- Balance multiple proposals and estimations at once, ensuring each reaches the client by the deadline.
- Liaise with other company departments to maintain business development and continuously innovate new profitable outcomes.
- Follow health & safety procedures set out by the company to ensure the safety of you, your colleagues and others, and adhere to the company health and safety policy.
- Adhere to company rules and ensure compliance to ISO:9001:2015 & ISO 14001:2004.
