FAFS Fire & Security specialise in designing, installing, commissioning and servicing automatic Fire Detection, Protection and Alarm Systems in and around Greater London. We are currently looking to appoint a new Project Engineer specifically covering the London region.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure projects are delivered as per programme and escalate any delays to the project manager.
- Technical review / Ordering of projects via the sales order process application and forward to purchasing department.
- Ensuring FAFS are commercially protected with correspondence to the customer outlining delays and issues.
- Plan and control labour and materials required to deliver the project.
- Ensure all Risk assessments and method statements and engineering paperwork is allocated to the engineering teams and following project completion ensure commissioning completed in line with British standards.
- Provide technical expertise to support the installation teams on projects as required.
- Attend site meetings as required and liaise with the Designer / Customer on Variations to the design.
- Line management of engineers and sub-contractors as assigned, including management of employees time sheets and holidays.
- Managing job profitability of assigned projects and reporting into the project manager.
- Controlling all aspects of health and safety on sites with regular audits of work and safety.
- Ensure adherence to FAFS Quality Process and Procedures and HSE standards.
Who We’re Looking For:
- Required: Ensure projects are complete on time following all FAFS health and safety guidelines.
- Be able to work under pressure and in a team environment or on their own.
- Desirable: A driven and enthusiastic individual that relishes a challenging environment must have good communication skills and technical knowledge of Major systems and projects.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the fire and security Industry with experience of engineering projects across single and multiple site locations.
- Demonstrable technical experience with good interpersonal skills.
